How To Tell Your Story With Video in 2020

So, let’s be honest: 2020 isn’t exactly progressing as we’d envisaged so far. But! So much of video production is about thinking on your feet, and adapting to circumstances as they unfold. And as such, we’ve made some changes at Mambo Video - so that we can help our clients to keep things moving when traditional video production techniques are rendered more difficult or even impossible.

We’re working with lots of new techniques to produce compelling films for clients whilst observing social distancing restrictions. Here’s some of the ways that we’re working in the current circumstances to tell stories for our clients.

Participatory Video Production

This is an accessible way for a group of people to create their own film, with remote direction from Mambo. There are several advantages - it’s a fantastic opportunity to learn filmmaking skills for a start, and of course it’s a chance to collaborate with a group to develop and workshop creative ideas. The work is produced in collaboration with Mambo Video, with direction via your video conferencing app of choice, and then we’ll edit the final product in accordance with the agreed brief.

Using Existing Footage to Tell New Stories

We can put our editing skills to use on footage that already exists - either archival footage that your organisation already owns, or available stock footage that we can help you source. This is a great, economic way to produce relevant video content that keeps your audience engaged, and doesn’t require any breach of social distancing regulations, nor unnecessary travel.

Animation and Motion Graphics

We’ve got a skilled team of animators and motion graphics artists who are able to bring your vision to life without ever pressing the shutter button and recording new live action footage at all. This is a particularly good way to convey dense information with an engaging and energetic presentation.

Video Live Streaming

Live streaming is a burgeoning practice in the current circumstances. In the wake of COVID19, many conferences and events have migrated online, and webinars, digital classrooms and live performances online are on the rise. We can help you to engage your community by facilitating your live streaming plans - and it’s also a good way to record footage for future use.

Video production can help you navigate these uncertain times. Let Mambo Video Production, based in Glasgow, Scotland, tell your story.

We’d love to help you out with any new project you have, or to take advantage of the video content you’ve already got in the can. Either way, get in touch today and we’ll talk about how we can put your best foot forward regardless of the circumstances.
