Helping an Environmental Consultancy address key challenges in the business with strategic videos
Outline
With a history stretching back to the 1960s, LUC is an environmental consultancy committed to making a positive, lasting impact on the world. They approached Mambo Video to create a series of films that would both reflect their purpose and support key areas of their business — from recruitment to showcasing their award-winning work.
Challenge
One of LUC’s immediate needs was to attract new talent to their landscape planning department — a discipline often misunderstood by those outside the field. The challenge was to clearly communicate the role, highlight its importance, and capture what makes the work meaningful. Alongside this, LUC also wanted to bring one of their landmark projects to life: the Glasgow Claypits Urban Nature Reserve. This unique, multi-award-winning site blends ecological restoration with community access, biodiversity, and landscape design — a powerful demonstration of what LUC stands for.
Results
We produced a recruitment film that addressed LUC's specific hiring challenge: attracting talent to an often-misunderstood discipline. Featuring authentic voices from the landscape planning team, the film helped candidates understand not just what the work involves, but why it matters. For the Claypits, we created a cinematic case study showcasing LUC's multi-award-winning transformation of a former industrial site into Glasgow's first inner-city nature reserve. The film became a business development asset, demonstrating LUC's expertise in ecological restoration and place-making to prospective clients and partners.
“LUC worked with Mambo Video on creating a film to promote its Landscape Planning careers. Ally got completely immersed in researching the themes in our brief and you can see his care and attention in the final product. Ally went above and beyond to create an inspiring film with breath-taking visuals and emotional sound bites. The logistics of the shoots were well-planned, and communication was a delight. I would happily work with Mambo Video again.”
