Outline
To mark their 50th anniversary, SAVE Britain’s Heritage partnered with Mambo Video to create a film that honours their legacy and reaffirms their mission. Known for decades of tireless work to protect historic buildings across the UK, SAVE wanted to reflect on their past while inspiring action for the future.
Challenge
SAVE needed a compelling documentary that told the story of their founding, captured the impact of key campaigns, and communicated the urgency of reusing historic buildings in the context of today’s climate crisis. The brief also included a series of short-form videos to extend their reach across digital platforms and engage a wider audience.
Results
We produced a feature-length documentary and strategic short-form content suite that helped SAVE Britain's Heritage successfully navigate their 50th anniversary milestone. The films positioned SAVE's heritage activism as urgent and climate-relevant for a new generation, providing strategic communications assets they continue to use for stakeholder engagement, advocacy campaigns, and fundraising efforts. The project drove awareness and engagement across new audiences, reinforcing SAVE's position as the UK's leading heritage advocacy organization entering their next half-century.
“Working with Mambo Video on SAVE Britain’s Heritage’s 50th anniversary film was a real pleasure. From the outset, Mambo Video understood the importance of telling our story with authenticity and purpose, bringing creativity, sensitivity, and a deep grasp of our mission. They worked closely with our team, ensuring every stage of production was smooth, collaborative, and focused on outcomes. The resulting documentary and accompanying videos have become invaluable tools for communicating our work, engaging stakeholders, and inspiring action on reuse and sustainable approaches to the built environment. Mambo Video’s ability to translate complex ideas into visually compelling, strategically aligned storytelling made a lasting impact on how we share our message.”
